OFFICIAL MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY CONFERENCE 2007

Hi Everyone

Wow!! What a weekend we have just had here in the Isle of Deliberation hosting the Annual Conference. If you couldn't make it - weep with frustration because it really was a belter.
I was in town this morning and people have been stopping me every few steps and congratulating us for bringing humour and brightness to Island life.

They thought the coverage on the television was fantastic and also the Radio programme - especially as a voice could be heard shouting "Vote Raving Loony" in the background as the traffic news was being read out!!

Firstly I want to thank all of you who came here so much for helping to make it such a success - it was your conference and everyone loved seeing you all out and about especially on the Friday night dressed in full regalia and of course those of you who made it a weeks holiday. The profits of the "Lamplighter" pub must have trebled in that short space of time.

The people who put it all together of course are the members of the Official Monster Raving Loony Isle of Deliberation Party and I would like to thank personally - The Jersey Bean Royal marine - Baron Harry Hog of Prickly Bottom and Baron Advocaat Applejack who gave their time and enthusiasm.

Baron Harry Hog and the Jersey bean were responsible for getting the cabinet (gouging a long hole in the wall of the house moving it down stairs!!) The Baron who is a signwriter then did the decoration and painting and the Bean was responsible for all the shifting about of it..

Special thanks must go to Advocaat Applejack as he was the one who paid for the Savages to come over to the Island and also for the Wine (Dont slurp it all at once!) What a generous gift and i hope you like the Special labels and the money which I designed. Have we any graphic Artists out there - I need your help please.

The Savages band were of course excellent as always and many people have said how much they enjoyed hearing them. This is a very small Island and word spreads like wildfire when there has been a special "happening" and this was one of those times. had you been able to stay you would have been booked somewhere everynight and the owner of "Wacks" Bar would have had you in there the next day!!

I am writing a report for the local newspaper "The Jersey Evening Post" and my son matthew who came to take all the photographs will help me pick out the best for publication. He is going to put them all on his website for you to see.

Well now I suppose i had better be off for a "Snifter! and run the gauntlet again of all our adoring fans on the island. Thanks you all so much for being here - Everyone now knows what a Conference should be like!!
